Sea Anemone

We visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium over the MLK holiday weekend. Probably not the best time to visit a very popular attraction, and we did have to wait in line a bit to get in, but the crowds weren’t that bad.

And we got to see the great white. He was over 6 feet by that time and the aquarium released him two days after we visited, so our timing was just right. We saw a lot of him, but spent some time scanning the tank when we first got there and didn’t realize he was swimming back and forth above our heads.

Also saw the giant octopus (my favorite) and Josie got to touch lots of things in the touch tanks.

We spent the night at my Aunt Barb’s at the Mouth of the Valley (Carmel Valley, that is) and had a great dinner at a Japanese place and Josie even found something she liked: bacon wrapped chicken skewers.
